I wanted to purchase for storing food items in the freezer (pancakes, waffles, mini muffins, steamed carrot sticks, etc) . Thanks to Katherine L's review, I decided to try them. I bought three, and I may need to buy more!! As previously noted, capacity won't be quite the same as a disposable bag. However, the extra sturdiness protects the contents better. Unlike some plastic items, these bags have no smell. They're easy to clean, and I hang over cups/a drying rack to drain and dry thoroughly. A tip after a month of use: once frozen, the zip top is *really* hard to open up. I leave the bag on the counter for 30s-1min, and THEN try to open it up. The plastic just needs a quick moment to loosen up. Not so much that I'm worried about the contents starting to thaw.
I freeze a lot of muffins, pancakes, and other snacks - this is a great alternative to plastic zip top bags. They are more stiff so I can't get as many muffins in 1 bag as I can a ziplock, but still totally worth it. They freeze nicely and wash up well.
Hi Katherine! I am so happy to hear that you have found the perfect alternative to normal zip lock bags! So glad that these do great in the freezer and wash up great for you! :)
