Really, that depends on how often you want to wash. On average, newborns go through 12-15 diapers per day. We suggest having 24-36 total cloth diaper changes (meaning the absorbent part of the diaper) for your newborn baby. That will allow you do do your wash every 2-3 days.

All in One Cloth Diapers

One piece with a waterproof shell & absorbent cloth interior. Insert can be added to increase absorbency.

• Entire diaper is changed after use

All in Two Cloth Diapers
Waterproof shell with separate insert. Soiled insert is changed, cover can be reused without immediate washing.

• Inserts may not be interchangeable per brand
• Can be more expensive

Cloth Diaper Covers

Cloth diaper covers are paired withprefold cloth diapers,flat cloth diapers, andfitted cloth diapers. These are more of your tradition cloth diapers.

• Most economical

Cons:

• Separate cover and absorbent cloth required
• Can be difficult for inexperienced users

“Hoop & Loop” closures give you better control over how the diaper fits your baby when they are still small. It is quit simply 2 velcro straps that provide endless size possibilities.

“Snap” closures are more durable and snag-free. The snaps provide a better hold for babies who are growing and more active.

Of course! Many moms choose to cloth diaper in the hospital and the nurses love to see the cute prints and colors. Depending on how long you anticipate your hospital stay to be, you will need 12-15 diapers per day of your stay.
