Best Bottom Microfiber Doublers

48 reviews

Best Bottom Doublers are perfect for adding extra absorbency to your favorite Best Bottom inserts! Doublers are great for babies and toddlers who out-pee their diapers, as that extra layer of absorbency does the trick!

They’re easy to use, as they simply snap under the insert. The hourglass shape allows for maximum absorbency while keeping it trim around the legs.

- Small: Birth-14 lbs

- Medium: 11-22 lbs

- Large: 16-35 lbs

- Extra Large: 26-45 lbs

*Size/weight suggestions are approximate.

Made from two layers of microfiber, these doublers are perfect for adding an extra layer of absorbency, while still being trim.

This microfiber doubler does not include a top layer of our no-pill fleece, so it’s important to note that these must be layered underneath another insert. Microfiber itself should not rest on a baby's gentle skin, as it will quickly dry it out

Microfiber inserts are designed to be used in conjunction with another insert. Therefore, on its own, microfiber doublers offer our Light Absorbency, but combined with an additional insert they can build up to Super Absorbency.

Preparing for Use

It’s always recommended to wash any new cloth diaper products before use, to remove any dust from manufacturing and shipping.

You can simply throw your new products in a wash cycle with your normal laundry or other diaper laundry.

We recommend you do not use fabric softener or bleach on any cloth diaper products.

How to Use

Best Bottom Doublers are very quick and easy to use. Simply snap your insert on top of the doubler, and snap your doubler into your favorite Best Bottom Diaper and you’re good to go!

Wash and Care

  Washing Your Inserts:

1) Remove solids: Knock solids into toilet, Dunk n’ Swish, use a diaper sprayer, or diaper liner to help.

2) Remove insert from the diaper before washing.

3) Run a rinse cycle on cold.

4) Run a full cycle wash on warm/hot with additive-free detergent. We recommend the use of Tide detergent. Do not use detergents with added softeners or stain removers.

5) For best results, run one more rinse cycle on warm/cold.

6) Line dry or tumble dry or on low/medium.

Care For Your Inserts:

Fabric softeners and rash creams can ruin the effectiveness of the absorbency. We recommend you do not use them. If you need to use a rash cream, we recommend the use of a liner along with cloth diaper-friendly products.

Dirty diapers and inserts should not go unwashed longer than 2-3 days for risk of staining

Nicki’s Recommendation

We recommend having 1-2 doublers per diaper change if you need additional absorbency.

Best Bottom doublers are designed to be used in all styles of Best Bottom diapers. Although Best Bottom doublers can be compatible with other brands, they fit best with Best Bottom diapers.

    I recommend this product

Worker very very well for my nighttime heavy wetter.

FYI- Overnight hemp shrinks A LOT

I bought two of these inserts, a medium overnight bamboo and a large overnight hemp, and after washing they are the same size (about 12.75".) So just be aware that the overnight hemp will probably shrink a ton, so you may want to buy one size up in the overnight hemp. Doesn't affect it's performance for me, I was just surprised at how much it shrank. I also personally think that the overnight bamboo is more absorbent than the overnight hemp.

    Microfiber for the win

I have now tried all three inserts - the microfiber stay drys, hemp, and bamboo. The winner is the microfiber. My son is a heavy wetter and MF seems to hold the most waste, prevent leaks the best, and keeps his little bottom moisture free. At a diaper change (about every 3 hours) I can touch his little bottom and not feel any wetness on his skin. For us, hemp came in second. Super trim & absorbent... just not of the same caliber as the MF. I would recommend getting some for those baby jeans or outfits that need a trimmer diaper. Bamboo just didn't stand up to the other two for us. They are very trim & very soft, but it seems like his bottom has more moisture on it and there were more frequent leaks. I also tried out the overnight MF inserts with regular MF insert on top. I wish I would have gotten hemp for the overnight insert because MF on top of MF is very very thick. Overall, the overnight inserts are totally worth it because it is so nice to not have to change the diaper overnight! My son seems to sleep better & longer.

Love the Best Bottom diaper system! We've been using it for nearly a month now and both the husband and I agree it is easy and efficient. I ordered both the bamboo and microfiber inserts in size small for our newborn boy. I have found that I prefer the microfiber inserts as they seem to absorb more and keep the wetness off his skin. The bamboo inserts have their place, though, as they certainly are much trimmer than the microfiber and work better with certain outfits. Overall we are very happy with this system.

    Fabulous products!

I'm super pleased with these inserts. I own both the stay dry and the bamboo. I cannot believe how trim the new bamboo options are and their absorbency is also absolutely fabulous. We've been able to use them both overnight and for day use without any problems. They also clean like a dream! Lots of super disgusting older child "ick" and not a single stain! Unbelievable!
