It’s always recommended to wash any new cloth diaper products before use, to remove any dust from manufacturing and shipping.
With Natural Fibers, we recommend washing them 3-5 times with detergent, drying in between to maximize absorbency. Natural fibers will become more absorbent over time.
If you prefer to use after one wash, note that you will need to change sooner or add additional absorbency. You can simply throw your new products in the wash with your normal laundry or diaper laundry. We recommend you do not use fabric softener or bleach on any cloth diaper products.
Best Bottom Inserts are very quick and easy to use. Simply snap both ends into your favorite Best Bottom diaper and you’re good to go!
Washing Your Inserts:
1) Remove solids: Knock solids into toilet
2) Remove any snapped in or stuffed absorbency materials before washing
3) Running a rinse cycle on cold
4) Run a full cycle wash on warm/hot with additive-free detergent
5) For best results, run one more rinse cycle on cold
6) Line dry or tumble dry or on low heat
Care For Your Inserts:
Fabric softeners and rash creams can ruin the effectiveness of the absorbency. We recommend you do not use them. If you need to use a rash cream, we recommend the use of a liner along with cloth diaper-friendly products.
Dirty diapers and inserts should not go unwashed longer than 2-3 days for risk of staining.
Fabric
Made with six layers of Bamboo Viscose and topped with one layer of no-pill fleece. These inserts give you all the absorbency of bamboo, while the stay dry top keeps your baby dry and comfortable.
Moisture is quickly pulled and wicked away by the no-pill fleece while the thirsty layers of bamboo absorb it.

Much better coverage than the smalls for my growing girl.
Hi Amanda! So happy you found a good fit!
We have tried several brands of inserts and almost all of the best bottom inserts, and my wife and I both agree that best bottom takes the cake. They are trim, absorbent, and very competitive in price. These inserts are really worth their weight in gold and we recommend a stay dry bamboo insert on top of an overnight hemp insert for an overnight solution to everyone that cares to listen. This very trim solution (inside of a best bottom cover) will hold our heavy wetters 12 hours for sleep. Say goodbye to wet sheets and bulky baby bums!
I've used the stay dry inserts for my previous baby. They worked great but get a lot of buildup due to hard water, so I have to strip them often. I also don't like the feel of microfiber on my hands. I decided to go for natural fibers so I got both the hemp and bamboo. I LOVE the bamboo! They are super sbsorbant, stay soft wash after wash, and no buildup! They are the winner!
Love how absorbent these inserts are! They are wonderful after a few washes. We did have a few blow outs when they were newer because they were so slick. (EBF baby) but after a couple weeks they are perfect.
Love these inserts. They work really well and are easy to clean!
